Cerebral Palsy

Scope: "Scope" is the disability organisation in England and Wales whose focus is people with Cerebral Palsy. Their aim is that disabled people achieve equality: a society in which they are as valued and have the same human and civil rights as everyone else. Scope explains what Cerebral Palsy is here.
The Cerebral Palsy Physiotherapy Centre Ltd (CPPC): Taylor has been attending the Centre in Bedfordshire for a year now and it has proved to be very good for him. The therapy is based on methodologies used in Poland and each session is an intensive 3 hour treatment. Each session is 1:1 and comprises of several different elements, which are modified to suit the needs of each individual child. The block of treatment can be between 1 and 4 weeks.

The Birkdale Adult and Paediatric Neuro-Clinic: The Centre helps to treat the impact of various neurological disorders and uses a combination of techniques. Taylor has been receiving treatment in 2 hour sessions every other month for the last year. The therapist encourages Taylor to manage his condition and the effect that it has on his life.
